Mapping your energy generation

Wouldn't it be interesting if we could see how much renewable energy there is in Wales?

The People's Power Station is on a quest to do just that. On this page you will find a Google Map covering all of Wales. You can use the map to zoom in and out, and click on the markers to discover more about Welsh renewable energy systems that are registered with us.

The People's Power Station; Renewable Energy Locations across Wales Print

The aspiration is for this map to be the most comprehensive, informative and accurate public record or renewable energy systems in Wales, whatever their type, size or ownership. Clearly this will require you to contact us with details about your systems.

Please click here for statistics of registered systems. [Statistics]

Please note: it may take a few seconds for the markers to load.

If you have renewable energy at home, or know anyone that does, please feel encouraged and motivated to supply details of these to the West Wales ECO Centre for inclusion on the map. Information you might choose to include for each separate system may consist of all or some of the following:

  • Location – this can be the actual postal address, post code, grid reference or village, but must at least roughly locate the installation
  • Type of ownership (e.g. domestic, community, commercial)
  • Type of system (e.g. Solar hot water with flat plate collector mounted to house roof)
  • Model of system (e.g. Sanyo HIP230HDE1 230W 24V PV panel)
  • System of system (e.g. 4m²/6kW, etc.)
  • How much electricity/heat produced – if known (e.g. 1,500 kWh/yr)
  • How much fuel used (e.g. 6 tonnes/yr seasoned wood for multifuel stove)
  • Integration with other systems (e.g. solar hot water integrated with ground source heat pump)
  • Year installed
  • Further information might include installer details, grant assistance details, cost of installation

Photographs of the system are also welcome. The more information we gather, the better the resource will become.

Let's show the world what Wales is doing.
